Starz asked space150 to create an online experience to promote Head Case, a new original series starring Alexandra Wentworth as celebrity therapist Dr. Goode.
goodetherapy.com invites you to participate in a very unconventional virtual therapy session. Answer 3 questions and Dr. Goode delivers her biting, shame-inducing analysis based on your responses. Like the show, this interactive experience is for mature audiences only. The site rewards viewers for repeat visits, as Dr. Goode has an endless supply of diagnoses to make you feel screwed up and wrong. You can post your diagnoses and also refer a neurotic friend, frenemy, lover, or significant other.
Head Case can be seen Wednesday nights at 10PM ET/PT on the Starz channel.

How did space 150 get the video to play so quickly? Is it streaming or progressive video? Is this hosted at Akamai?
We’re using a hybrid hosting approach; a combination of traditional managed services and Amazon Web Services (S3). Basically, we’re using S3 as a CDN for some of the files.
I believe magic was also used, yes?
