Joost has a warm welcome for all visitors to their March Madness site, but that sentiment is immediately tempered by a red “WARNING” message: “This is a test of our live P2P streaming service. It’s a pretty complex technology, and we fully expect things to go wrong.”

Shawn Hoekstra, our Senior Creative Developer, recently attended the Design and the Elastic Mind exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art. The exhibition offers a wealth of conceptual and practical uses of emerging technology.

Macy’s engaged space150 to design a sitelet for This Is All Me, a back-to-school test campaign that features American Rag clothing. American Rag appeals to teens with a fresh, original, authentic take on style.

February 29th, the extra day of leap year, had even more significance for space150. It marked our 8th anniversary and the debut of our 20th version.

The final part of Friday’s presentation was given by Eric Skogen, who focused on nascent technologies, and our expectations of the medium. He began with a quote from computer scientist Alan Kay: “Technology is anything that was invented after you were born.”

Last Friday, space150 assembled to listen to three of our own present on the topic, “What’s Next in Science and Technology.”
